Two women at Roots and Shoots table

In 2022, the Institute of Human Origins became the steward for the Jane Goodall Institute Gombe Chimpanzee Research Archive—over 60 years of handwritten observations of chimpanzees in the wild, begun by famed conservationist Jane Goodall. Come to see the handwritten journals about the activities of our closest relatives, chimpanzees, and learn how studying nonhuman primates helps to understand how human behavior may have evolved from our ancient ancestors to today. Roots & Shoots table too!
